Lexical Resources

info

The functionalities described in this page currently only apply to Teneo Studio Desktop

Custom Lexical Resource

Teneo Studio allows solution developers to create their own lexical resources by creating Language Objects and/or Entities in a solution, exporting it as a lexical resource (generating a .library file) and then, importing the file as a lexical resource.

A lexical resource can be created from any solution, even one which contains Flows and other documents, because when exporting as lexical resource, only Language Objects and Entities contained in the solution are taken into account and hence only these are exported to the library file.

As mentioned, the exported lexical resource receives the file extension .library which is the only supported file format for import of lexical resources.

Be aware that any imported lexical resources is made available to all solutions of the same language in the account.

Import Lexical Resource

The option to import lexical resources depends on the granted user permissions.

A lexical resource can be imported from different places in Studio:

  • Before opening a solution by selecting the Import/Export tab
  • After opening a solution by selecting either the Import/Export tab or the Lexical tab in the backstage

From either of the above places the steps to follow are:

  • Click Import Lexical Resource (or Import only if on the Lexical tab)
  • Browse to the folder location of the previously exported .library file
  • Select the file and click Open
  • Teneo Studio starts importing the lexical resource; a successful message is displayed once the import has completed and the new lexical resource is now available for assignment from within the solutions in the account.
