Import/Export

Teneo Studio allows users to import and export solutions in the .solution file format. Note that special user permissions are needed for import and export functionalities.

Import

Teneo Studio Desktop

To create a new solution with the import of a previously exported .solution file, follow the below steps:

Note that below should be performed without opening a solution; to import a .solution file to an existing solution, please see Add content

• With Teneo Studio open, click Import/Export in the left-side menu
• Click Import Solution
• Browse to the folder location of the .solution file, select it and click Open
• Confirm the Solution Content and toggle the Use Imported Solution Id to the right to use the Id of the solution to import, click Next
• Give the new solution a Name, optionally Add description
• Click OK
• Teneo Studio starts the creation and import of the solution, a confirmation message is displayed to the user when done: click Open Solution to open the new solution or simply click Close.

Alternatively, simply drag and drop a solution file onto the Solutions list (Solutions tab) to initiate the import process

Teneo Studio Web

Teneo Studio Web allows to import a previously exported .solution file to create a new solution, to do this follow the below steps:

• In the Solutions list, click Create
• Select Import Solution
• The Import Solution opens, now drag and drop the .solution file to the field or click to browse to the wanted solution file (click Open to return to Teneo Studio)
• Lastly, click Create to confirm the solution import and start the creation of the solution.

Alternatively, simply drag and drop a solution file onto the Solutions list to initiate the import process.

It is also possible to merge import a .solution file into an existing solution, this is done with Add content.

Export

Teneo Studio Desktop

In Teneo Studio Desktop, one or more solutions can be exported by following the below steps:

• With the solution open, go to the backstage of Teneo Studio (Solution tab > Import/Export)
• Click the Export button
• In the Export window, select the solution(s) to export; multi-select by holding Ctrl down while clicking
• Click the Browse... button under Download exported files to folder
• Now, browse to the folder where the solution(s) should be saved, click Select Folder when done
• Back in the Export window, under Export selected solutions as select if the solution(s) should be exported as Solutions or Lexical Resources
• Click Continue
• The window now displays an overview of the selected solution(s) to export, click Begin export to continue; alternatively, click Back to change the selection
• The export of the solution(s) is confirmed with a Completed message; click Done to close the Export window.

Teneo Studio Web

In Teneo Studio Web it is possible to export an existing solution in two places: the Solutions list and the Solution dashboard; the latter option is explained in the following steps:

• With the solution open on the Solution dashboard.
• In the top ribbon, click Info
• Select Export Solution

The solution export will start and the solution be saved in the download folder defined for the browser.
